## Avenues - EdTech Dashboard & UX UI Design

## Education Revolutionized

Avenues is an educational initiative, designed to take education to the next level. Innovation, wired into the concept of Avenues, drives students and educators to reach new heights.

> As a team, who captivate growth and novelty, we took upon this opportunity at the earliest notice.

## Schooling with Avenues

Avenues has two campuses, located in NYC and Sao Paulo, where children ages 1 to 18 study in an environment of development and community.

> For us, the school for innovation needs an innovative design. That is what drove our design choices.

## Step One - Audit

We researched Avenues’ competitors and users. Our decisions were based on what message needs to be channeled, what information needs to be placed, and how navigation needs to guide users.

> The content type was obvious - Navigational and Informational.

## Displaying Information

We wanted to showcase the main idea behind Avenues. The innovative side of their concept is the highlight of the whole project, so we had to make sure this message was clearly displayed to Avenue’s users - potential students and their caretakers.

## Step Two - UI UX

After researching, we came up with detailed UI UX for both the desktop and mobile versions of Avenues’ website.

We focused on **simplicity and target** \- main attributes of a school’s website.

### Mobile vs Desktop

We accounted for many situations the users could end up in - whether it be a quick glance at the school’s website on their phone to check something, or a deep dive from their desktop for maximum engagement and immersion.

## Step Three - Animations

After the initial design was finished, it felt incomplete. Still interfaces work in highly professional instances, and often require a complex system that would display big loads of information.

In case of Avenues, this was not a liable option. The interface had to be modern and clean, with lots of space to “breathe” and, ultimately, engaging elements that guide the user.

> By designing animations around existing elements of design, we stressed on the highly innovative nature of Avenues.

## Finished product

By creating a design that clearly shows the essence of the company, we made Avenues’ **churn rates drop** significantly, as well as improving the conversion rates by **24%.**

> Understanding what sites in education have to provide is key to creating a product that serves its purpose entirely.
