## Our Strategy

We conducted in-depth research on enterprise IT workflows and user roles to identify how to present performance insights clearly. The design process focused on modular UX, priority-based navigation, and visual clarity for faster decision-making.

## Project Goals

Our goal was to reduce cognitive load by organizing complex metrics into a simplified, real-time APM interface and to build a scalable interface for AppDynamics - Performance Management Mobile App ui / ux that reduces visual complexity, increases engagement, and shortens alert-to-action response time in daily operations.

## Valuable Insights

We ran interviews with operations teams and analyzed session recordings to identify decision-blocking patterns and unnecessary friction in existing workflows. Through user interviews, we found 72% of IT specialists wanted customizable dashboards. Response time diagnostics and error tracking were the most used features. A clearer alert system could cut troubleshooting time by up to 40%.

## Major Findings

We collected data through user testing and backend analytics. This helped us define what caused the highest delays and low satisfaction scores in the existing scheduling flow.

## Our Solutions

We updated the UX to improve clarity, navigation, and system feedback across the AppDynamics. Visual indicators, alerts, and heatmaps now support faster response. Data layout was optimized for better readability and team-specific usage.

### Alert Cards &amp; Contextual Tooltips

We introduced alert cards that highlight issue severity and urgency in real time. Tooltips provide immediate context without forcing users to switch views or leave their current task.

### Visual Indicators

Dashboards were redesigned to support customization by user roles. Color-coded system states, grouped metrics, and live heatmaps help reduce confusion and improve productivity across teams.
