## User Challenges

Users were managing parcel data manually or across multiple tools, increasing the risk of errors during loading and tracking. There was no centralized way to visualize route efficiency, parcel location, or load distribution. Users lacked visibility into how parcels affected cargo weight balance or delivery sequence.

## Our Strategy

We started with a technical audit of the client’s airfreight workflows, identifying how software can enhance their parcel tracking, loading efficiency, and data accuracy. We focused on building a scalable and role-based dashboard interface for UPS - LMS Airfreight Delivery Mobile App project.

## Project Goals

Our goal was to design a UPS - LMS Airfreight Delivery Mobile App ui / ux that simplifies real-time parcel control, inventory management, and cargo balancing. We focused on minimizing delivery errors and streamlining space optimization logic within air cargo holds.

### Location-Based Exception View

We visualized disruptions and delays using a map-first layout. This helped users detect issues by region, improving clarity and reducing decision time.

### Filtered KPI Access

Users can now sort data by item, site, or quarter, making it easier to monitor key supply metrics. Each alert includes direct actions to reduce unnecessary steps.

### Embedded Alerts and Actions

Critical exceptions are paired with actionable insights within the same screen. This eliminates the need to switch tabs and supports faster issue resolution.

## Valuable Insights

During research, we discovered operational bottlenecks caused by missing parcel metadata and uneven cargo distribution. Live testing revealed that users prioritize fast data input and weight feedback over visual complexity.

## Major Findings

We delivered a finance dashboard for Zoho Analytics - Finance Management Dashboard ui / ux with 45% faster reporting speed, improved data readability, and increased user retention through ui / ux improvements, directly contributing to better conversion rates and reporting accuracy.

### 73% - Accuracy Drop

Users missed load balance targets when parcel weight or placement data was incomplete. This impacted flight preparation time and safety checks.

### 60% - Need Real-Time Cargo Status

Most logistics coordinators depend on real-time alerts to prevent missed handoffs and delays during transit - a priority that shaped notification design.

## Our Solutions

We developed a UPS UX/UI with components for dynamic loading logic, parcel detail input, and smart routing visualizations. The interface supports live tracking and displays the center of gravity to ensure balanced cargo loads.

### Load Optimization

Parcels are categorized and allocated automatically based on destination, size, and weight. This reduces planning time and increases cargo density per flight.

### Real-Time Status Dashboard

Each parcel can be tracked with live updates across departure, transfer, and arrival. Operators can adjust loading or reroute based on system prompts.
