Understanding how cyclists use route tools helped improve UX decisions across navigation features and map UI structure. The BikeRoute - Bicycle Mobile App project focused on aligning design choices with actual user habits, making route planning faster, more intuitive, and tailored to different cycling experience levels.

## Optimized Layout for Engagement

Landing page uses a 12-column stretch grid system optimized for 1440px screens. This structure ensures visual balance and consistent alignment across sections. It supports scalable content, clean spacing, and responsive layouts for desktop.  
  
The landing page is focused on promoting key features like route planning and interactive maps. Clear hierarchy, minimal distractions, and structured text blocks guide users through the content, improving engagement and conversion potential. CTA buttons are placed based on user flow to increase click-through rates.

## Clear Structure and Visual Guidance

Clear Structure and Visual Guidance We used the Lufga typeface to create a consistent hierarchy across headings, titles, and body text. The font supports easy reading and fits the navigation-focused interface.   
  
The color palette includes light blue, light green, olive, and light orange. These tones were selected to guide attention, highlight key actions, and support visual clarity. Together, the typography and color choices help create a clean, user-friendly experience aligned with the app’s core goals.

Branding

## Consistent identity across touchpoints

We developed a clear visual identity focused on usability and recognition. The logo, color palette, and type system were built to support a clean mobile app UI and improve navigation clarity. All components were documented in a brand guide used across design and marketing teams.  
  
We applied the branding across both digital and physical assets. Branded visuals were used on social media templates to increase engagement and drive app traffic. Physical applications included posters, backpacks, caps, and T-shirts — supporting offline visibility and brand recall.  
  
The branding helped maintain UI consistency, supported higher user retention, and increased trust across touchpoints. This approach improved user satisfaction and reduced drop-off rates in early user flows.

## Adapting Design for Platform Consistency

We revealed the need for better cross-device support in BikeRoute - Bicycle Mobile App example. Feedback from internal teams highlighted inconsistencies in layout and data access across screen sizes. To improve retention and lower churn, the next design phase will focus on responsive UI patterns, simplified content hierarchy, and unified navigation logic.
