## Understanding Everyday Buyers

In the early phase of the CoStar CRM - Real Estate SaaS project, we conducted interviews with 10 users to identify blockers in their real estate journey. The focus was on search efficiency, loan transparency, and decision-making support. The data revealed pain points across mobile and desktop use cases, especially in listing discovery and market insight clarity.

## Core Findings

### 62% – Listing Discovery Challenges

Most users struggled to find relevant listings. 25% had no issues, 13% found some helpful. Discovery tools need simplification to improve user engagement and reduce churn risk.

### 74% – Loan Tracking Confusion

A large portion of users said the app did not clearly explain loan tracking. This impacts conversion and understanding of financial outcomes.

### 69% – Unclear Market Insights

Users reported the market data lacked clarity or felt incomplete. 69% found insights unhelpful or missing, which affects confidence in decision-making.

### 68% – Usability Score

The overall usability fell within moderate range. While core functions are accessible, better flow and UI clarity are needed to boost satisfaction, reduce friction, and increase retention.

During the early stages of the CoStar CRM - Real Estate SaaS ui / ux, the team identified fragmented navigation as a core issue. Users were switching between multiple views without clear direction, increasing decision fatigue and lowering user satisfaction.

Search flow lacked clarity. Users had to shift between unrelated views to compare listings, metrics, and context. This raised cognitive load and slowed down task completion.

## Branded Hues

The project uses a color palette designed for clarity and focus. Black and white provide strong contrast and a clean base, supporting readability across the app. Green highlights key actions and signals growth and reliability, important for financial and property data.  
  
Orange adds energy and draws attention to alerts or important updates without overwhelming the interface. Gradients are applied subtly to create depth and modern visual interest.
