Interface

Key Task

  • Our main objective was to develop a user-centered design for the Magic Leap app. To achieve this, we conducted in-depth user research to gain insights into the requirements and preferences of our target audience. We continuously incorporated user feedback to ensure the best possible user experience.
We created and tested multiple interface iterations through prototyping to ensure that the app was both functional and intuitive. In addition, we paid significant attention to the visual design of the app to produce a cohesive Magic Leap - Enterprise AR device ui / ux.

Typography and colors

Unified visual language

  • We selected Gilroy for its clarity and readability across various screen types. The font supports a straightforward communication style suited for professional interfaces. Our decision was guided by the need for clarity in diagnostic settings where legibility is essential.

We applied a pastel color palette to support a soft visual hierarchy, reduce cognitive load, and maintain focus on primary actions. Color contrast was tested to meet accessibility standards and ensure consistent performance across smart devices.

UI Design

Interface

  • The Magic Leap - Enterprise AR device project was designed with the goal of providing an intuitive and seamless user experience, allowing users to seamlessly interact with digital content in the real world.

Key Features

    • Seamlessness

The interface is designed to allowing users seamlessly integrate with the environment and interact with digital objects in the real world.

    • Naturalness

This enables users to interact with digital objects in a more natural and intuitive way, as the app responds to their physical movements.

    Strategy

    Strategy plan

    • Our design strategy was built on simplifying interactions in a complex medical workflow. The Magic Leap - Enterprise AR device example was developed specifically for medical purposes to help in the diagnostic of the diseases.

We focused on reducing unnecessary user actions, aligning interface behavior with user expectations, and supporting data clarity. This approach helped us build a solid foundation for both user engagement and long-term retention.

    Scanning

    Patients Schedule

    • The Patients Schedule feature is intended to improve the overall efficiency of the appointment scheduling process, reducing wait times and ensuring that patients receive the care they need in a timely manner. It enables providers to view upcoming appointments, manage patient information, and communicate with patients regarding their appointments.

    UI design

    3d scan visualization

    • We integrated a 3D scan viewer that allows mobile users to inspect and rotate diagnostic models. The interface supports zoom, annotation, and object layer filtering. Usability testing showed strong engagement among doctors, especially when reviewing spatial data. This Magic Leap UX / UI feature improved content comprehension and reduced back-and-forth consultations.

    Mixed Reality

    • The app allows doctors to connect with a Magic Leap One headset or compatible smart device. They can choose the device before beginning patient interaction to enable contextual overlays. The feature supports hands-free diagnostics, enhancing real-time data review while maintaining patient focus.

    Result

    Project completion insight

    • The final Magic Leap project delivered a clean, efficient interface that helps doctors perform diagnostics more accurately and interact with patient data more intuitively. UX and UI updates led to reduced error rate during data entry and improved focus on core actions.

We measured success through increased session length and positive feedback from clinical staff.

    • Magic Leap example implementations confirmed strong potential for use in many clinical areas.

    Key Efficiency Gains

      • +42% in diagnostic session retention

increase after introducing Mixed Reality interaction. This shows that users are more likely to complete sessions when immersive tools are integrated into the workflow.

      • -31% reduction in churn rate

during 3D model review in mobile app. The drop suggests that interactive visualization tools improve engagement during critical moments of use.
